Dear readers,

Especially for the international internship by Vintagexplorer I have made this blog.

I would like to tell you about my experiences during the internship!

So first let me introduce myself: my name is Raïssa Verpalen and I am 22 years old, I am studying business management marketing in Antwerp at the AP University. After two and a half years of studying the time has finally come for the international internship!

Vintage is a part of my life. As a marketing student it is not evident to find a suitable internship in this sector. A lot of research led me to Vintagexplorer!

Antwerp is known as a city of fashion and the hottest hotspots. The vintage scene in Antwerp is still emerging! There are a lot of nice and cozy retro cafes, where you can buy everything you like, and a growing number of second hand stores with an eye to vintage materials are my favourite. And who says Vintage, says Burlesque! The burlesque world is really active in Antwerp and Belgium. There are lots of lessons and shows, so I also participated on several shows! Burlesque stands for: confidence, feelling the atmosphere of the past and glitter and glamour in your own style!

I am sure there is a lot to learn at Vintagexplorer, business related but with a big wink to vintage. These aspects makes the internship complete! During the internship I am going to miss my fellow students and my horse, I have been horse riding since I was 5 years, and won several dressage championships.
